WineVine

Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 4, 2026. This policy covers the WineVine website operated by Tindlo Inc.

Information we process

Our AWS authentication service processes your email address, password credential, and email verification status. WineVine records your account identifier, the versions of the terms and privacy notice you accepted, the acceptance time, and any pending deletion deadline. We do not record passwords or verification codes in application logs.

Why we use it

We use this information to create and secure your account, verify your email, enable member listening, recover access, process deletion, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests. We do not sell personal information or use this website’s account data for cross-site advertising.

Cookies and browser storage

Secure HttpOnly cookies keep you signed in. Access cookies expire after one hour and refresh cookies after 30 days. Signing out revokes the current refresh token and clears these cookies. Local browser storage remembers the amount of each episode preview you have heard. You can clear that information through browser settings. No advertising or analytics SDK is included on this website.

External services

We use Amazon Web Services for hosting, authentication, and account storage in the United States. When you play a podcast or load its artwork, the publisher’s hosting provider receives the network information needed to deliver it, including your IP address and browser request details. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives network information needed to serve them. External links are governed by those providers’ policies. Support emails are processed by our email service.

No website camera collection

This website does not request camera, microphone, location, or photo library access. The iPhone app has separate device features; this policy does not claim that those features run on the website.

Retention and deletion

Account and consent information remains while your account is active. Deletion stops member listening and begins a 24-hour cancellation window. The hourly cleanup then removes your website authentication account and consent record. Short-lived abuse counters expire after one day, with AWS cleanup occurring afterward. Operational logs are retained for 30 days; protected database recovery copies roll off within 35 days. If we restore a backup, we must reapply completed deletion requests before serving it. Emails you send to support remain only as needed to address the request and legitimate recordkeeping obligations.

Your choices

You can log out, clear browser storage, request access to or correction of your information, and delete your account. Contact us for privacy requests, including rights available under the laws where you live. We may verify your identity before acting. We do not require you to send a password or verification code to support.

Children

WineVine is designed for an adult audience interested in wine and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate.
